Sexual Orientation: Straight.
Appearance: Birkin is not extremely tall, topping at around 5’10” though he tends to slouch. He is thin, but that is mostly due to his absent-mindedness when it comes to remembering it’s time to eat, rather than any amount of exercise or dietary restraint. He tends to dress rather casually, with a short-sleeved collared shirt with a few top buttons undone, and a messy tie and jeans. Occasionally, he can even be coaxed into brushing his dirty blonde hair, but at least he showers regularly.
Personality: Birkin is extremely approachable, but distant and inattentive. His mind is continually focusing on things other than the person in front of him, unless you manage to catch his interest. He enjoys long walks on the beach, highly alcoholic beverages, and scientific journals. Used to being treated as a prince due to his intellect – and it doesn’t hurt that he’s attractive, either – he can come off as arrogant and self-absorbed. He enjoys nothing more than proving himself superior to everyone around him, up to and including his exploits behind closed doors.

History: Birkin was one of the child geniuses rounded up by Umbrella, who also included Albert Wesker, and brought to work in one of their laboratories. He and Wesker immediately proved that they had the most potential and thus were forced to work together. Birkin eventually proved himself the superior scientist, creating the G-Virus, which he considered his life’s work. At some point during his research, he met and married a fellow scientist, Annette, and they had a daughter Sherry. Within a locket, Birkin placed a sample of his precious virus, and gave it to his daughter to wear. Birkin wanted more time to research the virus, but it quickly ran out, and Spencer sent HUNK and his team to take the virus, and a soldier with an itchy trigger finger pumped Birkin full of lead. Before dying, Birkin injected himself with a strain of his virus, and mutated to turn into Resident Evil 2’s tyrant protagonist. He also tentacle raped and impregnated his daughter, but who’s counting.

In-Game History: Birkin’s parents were decently well-off. His father owned the local cemetery, which had been passed down from generation to generation; his mother took on odd jobs here and there, mostly babysitting and dance classes, before succumbing to an unknown illness. They both worked hard at ensuring they could provide a good education, which Birkin, being a natural genius, took full advantage of. He graduated high school a year early, and completed his Master’s program with time to spare. Laziness was all that kept him from achieving his PhD. He would have preferred to go into forensic pathology, but the sudden passing of his father – simultaneous stroke and heart attack; he hadn’t had a chance - forced him to take over the business. Finding that it suited him just fine to sit in a fancy office and boss people around, Birkin never pursued any further education, or considered switching careers; instead, he hired an especially attractive assistant named Annette and basically did as little of the grunt work as humanly possible, instead sequestering himself in his office and acquiring strange and unusual books. His thirst for knowledge is unquenchable, and thus, he is often found reading.
